Moffitt Caswell heavy haul driver of the month: Craig Payne
Hailing from South Texas, Craig has been a truck driver for over 30 years, and started at Moffitt Caswell Southern Trucking in August 2020. Working 12 hours a day, Craig delivers about 10 pieces of equipment to customers every week. As you might have guessed, his biggest challenge while hauling heavy equipment is maneuvering through neighborhoods on small streets and through parked cars. During his 12 hour days, Craig’s go-to meal is tacos, and he enjoys listening to country music on his drives. Craig’s favorite part of working at Moffitt Caswell is being on the road and giving his dispatchers a hard time every chance he gets! Craig lives in Cypress, Texas with his wife of 28 years and has a son who he enjoys spending time with while he’s not on the road.
Our promise
Our driver’s promise is to serve every customer with a smile in a timely and responsive answer to your needs. Will will work tirelessly to make sure that your heavy haul is delivered on time, every time. We will take care of your freight like it is our own.
Each of our drivers go through an extensive training program and background check before they begin hauling. Safety is our top concern, and we make sure our drivers are trained according to the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) in order to keep themselves and others on the road safe.
We really do think of everything
Shipping heavy haul requires specialized trailers that can haul loads exceeding standard dimensions or weights. Heavy equipment hauling requires an expert to determine the right trailer for the job. Heavy haul trucking also requires the use of permits from the city, county, or state in which you will be traveling.
When preparing for a heavy haul, we think through every detail of your load and logistics from start to finish. All of our drivers carry machine key sets, so that we can load and unload your machines on site without the need of an operator. Knowing your machine needs a permit means we will always pull the permit, and you never have to worry about your loads being run “hot.” With ELD capabilities on both our asset and brokered trucks, we can give you up to the minute tracking on your equipment—ensuring you know where we are every step of the way.
You’ve got it—we’ll haul it
Whether it’s construction equipment, oil and gas production, turbines, agricultural equipment, cranes—no matter how big or small—we’ll haul it for you. Make Moffitt Caswell your one-stop-shop for all your transportation needs. We’ll go the extra mile to make sure our service is above and beyond your expectations.
