We’ve got some big news: Moffitt Services has combined with RMI (our Houston Emergency Services Company) to provide environmental services and disaster response in addition to fuel and heavy hauling! If you’ve been a Moffitt customer for any amount of time, you’ve probably enjoyed the ease and convenience of getting same-day fuel services and heavy hauling. Now, you can get environmental resources and disaster services all under one roof: Moffitt Services: Total Site Solutions.
Rusty Moffitt, son of Roy Moffitt and co-owner of Moffitt Services, says RMI started as a response to a customer request that was outside of the norm in 2008.
“We got a request from Quaker Oats in Iowa for water to clean their facility with, and from there things started taking off,” Rusty said.
At that point, RMI services existed as an emergency response team, for unusual requests outside of the day-to-day oil operations.
“We started with water and dumpsters, which eventually morphed into more services than we initially thought,” Rusty says. RMI soon turned into a plethora of environmental services like portable toilets, vacuum trucks, oil spill cleanup, and more.
Now with a collection of services under one roof, Moffitt is capable of offering more than ever before to serve our customer’s bottom line!

Moffitt Disaster Response Team
Before RMI started providing environmental services, the company served as a natural disaster response team that started in 2001. The RMI team traveled miles across the U.S. to provide aid, environmental services and boots on the ground. Peyton Hughes, Operations Manager for Moffitt Disaster Response says his goal is to “help restore communities, and get them back on their feet as soon as possible.”
RMI and Moffitt Caswell have partnered in disaster response endeavors for many years now. Moffitt Caswell will now continue to partner with Moffitt Services: Disaster Response Team to haul equipment to an affected region and unload. The Moffitt Caswell truck drivers not only unload equipment, but they are also trained to operate the equipment.
The drivers take time to assist their customers and make sure everything is up and running. After that, the Moffitt Caswell team begins assisting with any other jobs or projects that need to be taken care of.
